…inspired by natural surroundings and the sea.
Nina Bulley has been making jewellery for the past 9 years, learning her trade at West Dean College in Chichester. She first started with fused-glass, but then moved on to making sterling silver jewellery and then combining the two.
“I started to make glass jewellery after experimenting with stained glass, and the purchase of a second hand kiln allowed me to experiment. I studied silversmithing at West Dean College and began to combine silver & glass together, and making a range of sterling silver jewellery inspired by natural surroundings and the sea.”
“I live on the Isle of Wight and although not originally from the island, I just love living here. I enjoy being surrounded by the sea and such beautiful countryside.”
In 2003, she won the Best Newcomer Award at the British Craft Trade Fair, and has since appeared in various magazines showcasing her work, including the front page of Craftsman Magazine, The Retail Jeweller and a photo shoot for Black Hair Magazine.
Nina sells her work all over the UK, having exhibited at International Jewellery, London, Earls Court and various other trade and retail shows throughout the country. .
